Groove Wood - Music Studio Loft
Opened in January 2015, Groove Wood – Music Studio Loft is a high quality studio located side by side with the world famous Porto’s Wine Caves, right in the heart of the historic zone of Oporto and Douro River.
Built in an old Oporto’s Wine Warehouse, our studio has the highest quality equipment ready to respond the highest demands of the market, as well as recording and mixing rooms designed at the highest acoustic level.

In the same building we have a modern and comfortable loft with all the facilities where our artists can be accommodated during their stay, living a few steps away from Ribeira do Douro – a UNESCO’s World Heritage and one of the most charismatic cities in all Europe. Groove Wood Studios wants to be an artistic residence where the artists can record and feel evolved with the studio and its unique location so that they can get inspired in their creative process and live an unforgettable experience.
For the best of both worlds, work and vacation, and if you have a bit of time left over, we can also get some inspiration from sailing the waters of the “Douro River”.
He is one of the Portuguese authors with the most registered works and has been a member of the Portuguese Society of Authors since 1999. As a producer and sound engineer, he has worked with numerous national and international artists. He remains actively committed to adding art and originality to the projects he develops.
Host
Serafim Borges has been dedicated to music for over 30 years, with his passion and commitment converging in different areas ranging from production to sound design, interpretation and composition.
He graduated in singing from the conservatory and has since dedicated himself to composing in a wide variety of areas, from theater and cinema to numerous television series, including Pop/Rock in a personal project that had a huge radio audience between 2008 and 2011.
